Southwest to northwest winds extend across much of the northern coastal waters due to a trough inland, stretching over the Pilbara coast at times. A ridge developing over southern WA is bringing southerly winds to western Pilbara waters, freshening on Saturday as the ridge strengthens.The trough will move further inland from Monday as the ridge weakens.
