A ridge over central Australia directs easterly winds over the Kimberley waters whilst a trough lays over the western Pilbara. The trough will migrate eastward over the next few days. A ridge will strengthen over western and central WA in its wake, extending a southeasterly surge over the northern waters this weekend.
