A ridge over central Australia directs easterly quadrant winds over the Kimberley waters whilst a trough lays over the central Pilbara. The trough will migrate eastward over the next few days. A ridge will develop over western and central WA in its wake, gradually establishing southeasterly winds over the northern waters this weekend before freshening early next week.
