Tropical Cyclone Mitchell is located near Carnarvon and is forecast to continue moving south along the Gascoyne coast during the rest of the day. It is expected to weaken below cyclone strength on Tuesday as it moves over land through the southern Gascoyne. A trough of low pressure will push into the Pilbara from Thursday.
