A broad trough extends from the Gascoyne to the South East Coastal district, gradually moving eastwards. A ridge will move into western parts in the wake of the trough, strengthening over central WA this weekend. The combination of the ridge and a low pressure system developing the Southern Ocean will result in increased winds over southern waters from Friday.
