A ridge over central and southeastern parts of the state will slowly weaken this weekend. A west coast trough will move inland later Saturday, ahead of a weak cold front brushing past the south coast on Sunday. A new ridge arrives in the southwest on Sunday, building east along the south coast from Monday.
