A ridge over central and southeastern parts of the state will slowly weaken over the weekend. A west coast trough will move inland later Saturday, ahead of a weak cold front brushing past the south coast on Sunday. A new ridge will arrive on the southwest coast on Sunday, building east along the south coast on Monday.
