Weather Situation
A high pressure system over eastern Victoria will move over the Tasman Sea tonight. Northerly winds will begin to freshen on Monday as the next cold front approaches from the west. The front will weaken as it crosses Victoria and Bass Strait on Tuesday, with the next high pressure system forecast to move over NSW on Wednesday and extend a ridge south across eastern Bass Strait. The high is then expected to move towards the NSW coast on Thursday as a low pressure system develops near the Bight.
