A low pressure system associated with the cold front will move across Bass Strait today directing a strong to gale force westerly flow over coastal waters. A high pressure system over South Australia will slowly build a ridge southeast over Bass Strait by late today. The high moves slowly east over southern NSW during Wednesday and Thursday moderating the flow. It will remain relatively stationary over southeast NSW during Friday before moving into the Tasman Sea on Saturday.
