North to northwesterly 15 to 25 knots increasing to 20 to 30 knots in the morning then turning west to southwesterly 15 to 25 knots in the late morning and early afternoon. Winds reaching up to 35 knots inshore in the late morning.

2 to 3 metres, decreasing to 1 to 2 metres during the afternoon.

1st Swell

Southwesterly 1 to 1.5 metres, increasing to 1.5 to 2.5 metres in the west.

Partly cloudy. The chance of a thunderstorm with little or no rainfall in the west during this afternoon and early evening.

Weather Situation

A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea directs a northwesterly flow over Victoria, strengthening this morning ahead of a trough which will cross the state later today. Another weak trough and low pressure system are expected to move over Victoria on Friday, before a cold front moves over the south during Saturday. A ridge of high pressure is then forecast to build over the state on Sunday.
