Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the NSW coast will move over the Tasman Sea this evening as a weakening cold front approaches from the west. The front is forecast to enter western Bass Strait on Sunday morning before crossing remaining waters during the day. Winds will then tend northerly and freshen into Monday as a cold front and associated low pressure system cross the Southern Ocean. The front is forecast to cross Bass Strait late Monday into Tuesday before a high pressure system over NSW extends a ridge south over eastern Bass Strait on Wednesday.
