A ridge of high pressure extends a south to southwesterly flow across the state today, forecast to persist into Monday as the high centre moves east, expected out to the Tasman Sea by Tuesday. A trough is forecast to develop in the northwest by late Tuesday, expected to extend over central and eastern districts on Wednesday. A new high pressure ridge is expected to move in from the west late Wednesday, persisting into Thursday.
