A large high pressure system situated over SA extends a ridge over Victoria. The high pressure centre will slowly cross the north on Friday before moving into the Tasman Sea on the weekend, continuing to extend a ridge over the state. This ridge will begin to weaken as a cold front approaches the western border late on Sunday, crossing the state on Monday.
