- A complex low pressure system in the Tasman Sea is moving away from Australia. A high pressure system over inland eastern Australia extends a ridge south over Victoria and central Bass Strait. This ridge will slowly track eastwards during today, moving into the Tasman tomorrow, before a low pressure trough crosses Bass Strait during Sunday. Another ridge of high pressure will extend over Victoria again on Monday.
