A large high pressure system situated in the Bight will develop a ridge over Victoria later on Wednesday. The high pressure centre will slowly cross the north on Friday before moving into the Tasman Sea on the weekend, continuing to extend a ridge over Victoria. This ridge will begin to weaken as a cold front approaches the western border late on Sunday.
