A slow moving trough lying over central Victoria will clear eastwards into the Tasman this afternoon. A high pressure ridge extends across the north of the State following the trough, as a series of weak cold fronts cross to the south. By the middle of the weak the high pressure ridge is expected to deepen and extend broadly across Victoria.
