Westerly 10 to 15 knots, reaching up to 20 knots in the east during the morning. Winds becoming variable about 10 knots in the late afternoon then becoming north to northeasterly 10 to 15 knots in the late evening.

Southwesterly 1.5 to 2 metres, increasing to 2 to 3 metres in the far west.

Weather Situation

A high pressure system to the northeast extends a ridge over the state. The ridge will slowly move eastwards east of Victoria, making way for northerly flow ahead of a strong cold front. The cold front approaches during Saturday and will cross the state on Sunday. A low pressure system will move across Bass Strait on Monday morning in the wake of Sunday's front.
