- Weather Situation
- A high pressure ridge extending across the state will weaken in the far north as a broad area of low pressure begins to develop late Sunday. This trough will linger over northern parts and extend over Gippsland in the new week. By early Thursday this trough will begin to develop into a low pressure system off the NSW coast. A southwesterly airstream will strengthen through Thursday as a result of this low and a high pressure system to the west of Tasmania.
