A cool west to southwesterly airstream persists over the state as a ridge of high pressure extends from south of the Bight over northwestern Victoria. A cold front is expected to clip southern Victoria on Wednesday before the high pressure system crosses southern Victoria on Thursday. A trough developing over South Australia late in the week is expected to move across Victoria on Saturday.
