- A cold front over western waters will to clear to the far east of Bass Strait by late Monday afternoon. A southwesterly airstream will follow as a new high drifts eastwards across the Bight early this week. By Thursday the high will be centred to the southeast of Tasmania, directing an easterly flow over Bass Strait.
