A high pressure system just west of Bass Strait will move over eastern South Australia today as a weak cold front approaches from the southwest. The front will cross Bass Strait later on Tuesday, with the high forecast to move over the Southern Ocean on Wednesday. The high is expected to approach Tasmania on Thursday with winds tending southeasterly across Victoria.
