A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea directs a northwesterly flow over the state and it will strengthen on Wednesday and Thursday ahead of a cold front which will cross Victoria later on Thursday, followed by a trough and low pressure system on Friday. Another cold front moves over the south of Victoria on Saturday.
