- A large high pressure system centred over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge and light northeasterly winds over Victoria. The high will move southeastwards during today but will continue to extend a ridge over Victoria. A slow-moving trough is expected to approach the west late today then gradually move across Victoria over the weekend. A ridge will move over Victoria on Monday following the trough then a cold front is expected to move across on Tuesday.
