- A high pressure ridge lies over the state. A high pressure system south of the Bight will continue to approach Tasmania today, extending cooler southerly winds over Victoria. The high will then pass to the south of Tasmania on Sunday with winds turning southeasterly across Victoria. A weak trough of low pressure will develop across Victoria on Monday as a high pressure system approaches from the west.
