North to northeasterly 15 to 20 knots, reaching up to 30 knots in the far east during the afternoon and evening. Winds tending northwest to southwesterly 10 to 15 knots in the late evening.

East to northeasterly 1 to 1.5 metres, increasing to 1.5 to 2.5 metres during the afternoon.

Weather Situation

A high pressure ridge over the far east weakens as a slow moving trough approaches the western border. This trough will slowly cross over the state, reaching central parts late today and clearing eastwards into the Tasman by Monday afternoon. A new weak ridge develops in the west following the trough but is pushed over the north as a series of weak cold fronts cross to the south early next week. By the middle of the weak the high pressure ridge is expected to extend broadly across Victoria.
