- A trough over the far northeast will contract into NSW late Monday evening before a high pressure system over far southwest crosses the state on Tuesday. This high will establish in Tasman Sea through the midweek with new trough moving into western Victoria on Wednesday. This trough will remain stationary over the central and western districts with a cooler west to southwesterly airstream and a ridge in the west establishing on Friday.
