- A high pressure system to the northeast extends a ridge over the state. The ridge will slowly move eastwards east of Victoria, making way for northerly flow ahead of a strong cold front. The cold front approaches during Saturday and will cross the state on Sunday. A low pressure system will move across Bass Strait on Monday morning in the wake of Sunday's front.
