- A low pressure trough over northeastern Victoria will weaken tonight as a ridge of high pressure extends over the south of the State. The ridge is forecast to persist over southern Victoria during today and Friday. A high pressure system south of the Bight will approach Tasmania on Saturday causing southerly winds to freshen across Victorian coastal waters. The high will then pass to the south of Tasmania on Sunday with winds turning easterly across Victorian coastal waters.
