Variable about 10 knots becoming east to southeasterly 10 to 15 knots in the middle of the day then tending east to northeasterly 15 to 20 knots in the evening. Winds reaching up to 25 knots inshore in the evening.

South to southwesterly around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres in the far east.

Weather Situation

A high pressure system to the west of the state directs a cool southerly flow across Victoria. The high centre is expected to move eastwards over Tasmania during today gradually easing and turning the flow south to southeasterly over Victoria, before the flow is expected to further shift easterly by Saturday as the high is expected to slip to the south of Tasmania over the weekend. A low pressure trough over South Australia is forecast to approach western Victoria late Saturday and slowly move over Victoria into Sunday.
