- A cold front directs a strong northerly flow at it crosses central and eastern Victorian coastal waters during Monday evening to clear Bass Strait by early Tuesday. A low pressure system associated with the cold front will move across Bass Strait on Tuesday directing a strong to gale force westerly flow over coastal waters. A high pressure system over South Australia will slowly build a ridge southeast over Bass Strait by late Tuesday. The high moves slowly east over southern NSW during Wednesday and Thursday moderating the flow. It will remain relatively stationary over southeast NSW during Friday before moving into the Tasman Sea on Saturday.
