A westerly airstream will weaken on Saturday as a ridge of high pressure begins to develop over the north, extending across remaining parts during Sunday. The high pressure system will drift into the Tasman Sea on Monday as a cold front approaches from the west. The front is expected to cross Victoria on Tuesday with a cool southwesterly airstream following into Wednesday.
