A trough associated with a low pressure east of Bass Strait will clear eastwards on Tuesday night before a large high pressure system over South Australia will begin to extend a ridge over western Victoria on Wednesday. The high pressure centre slowly move over the north on Thursday, remaining relatively stationary on Friday with a weak trough skimming the south in the evening. A new high pressure ridge will begin to develop from the west on Saturday.
