- A ridge of high pressure extends across Victoria today with the high centre to the south of the Bight forecast to move eastwards across Tasmania. A trough is forecast to extend from NSW into the northeast of Victoria during today, before a more significant trough is forecast to move across the far west on Friday then over the remainder of the state on Saturday. A cold front in expected to move through Bass Strait during Sunday with increasing south to southwesterly flow over the state as a secondary high pressure ridge extends over from the west.
