A cold front is moving over Bass Strait this morning. A new ridge of high pressure will extend across from the west later today and persist during Wednesday then the main high pressure centre will move eastwards across Tasmania on Thursday. A trough will move across the far west on Friday then over the remainder of the state on Saturday.
