A weak ridge of high pressure over coastal waters will move into the Tasman Sea tonight as a low pressure system and trough moves over western districts. The low is expected to continue moving southeastwards, moving through Bass Strait on Saturday to be east of Tasmania by late Saturday evening. A broad west to southwesterly flow with embedded cold fronts will follow from Sunday and early next week.
