West to southwesterly 10 to 15 knots tending south to southwesterly during the day. Winds reaching up to 20 knots in the east early in the morning and again in the evening.

Seas

1 to 1.5 metres, decreasing to 1 metre during the morning, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres in the far east during the afternoon.

1st Swell

Southwesterly 2 to 2.5 metres, increasing to 3 to 4 metres in the far west.

Weather Situation

A high well to the west continues to direct a cool west to southwesterly flow across the state before the flow is forecast to gradually ease and turn south to southeasterly on Friday as the high moves eastwards over Tasmania. As the high is expected to slip to the south of Tasmania by the weekend, the flow over Victoria will further shift easterly by Saturday. A low pressure trough over South Australia is forecast to approach western Victoria late Saturday.
