A cold front currently over central districts will cross into the east overnight, clearing the state early Sunday morning before a high pressure system develops over the state in its wake. This high will drift eastwards into the Tasman on Monday as a low pressure system develops in the Bight, extending a weak trough off the western coast on Tuesday, lingering into Wednesday.
