A high pressure ridge will begin to develop from the west in the wake of a cold front that moved across the south on Saturday. This ridge will develop more broadly across the state on Sunday until a broad low pressure trough develops in the far north. This trough will linger over northern and central parts early next until it shifts to the eastern coasts on Wednesday with an embedded low pressure system developing.
