Weather Situation
A ridge of high pressure extends over Bass Strait towards the Tasman Sea. A weak cold front will cross Bass Strait tonight as another high approaches from the west. This high will move over the Tasman Sea on Saturday as a trough and cold front approach Victoria. The trough is forecast to cross western and central Bass Strait on Sunday as the front crosses Tasmania. The trough is expected to clear eastern waters early on Monday with the next high pressure system crossing Victoria later in the day.
