- A low pressure system will weaken as it moves through Bass Strait early this morning. A ridge of high pressure extends over northern Victoria during Tuesday ahead of a cold front approaching from the Bight. This front is forecast to cross Bass Strait between late Wednesday and early Thursday. A low pressure system may form in the Tasman Sea near the eastern Victorian coast during Thursday, before moving away to the east early Friday.
