- A ridge of high pressure over Tasmania will clear into the Tasman Sea during the day with a trough lingering just across the NSW border along the east coast. A separate trough will then sweep across the state on Saturday, entering from the west in the early morning and clearing in the east by the evening. On Sunday a cold front will skim across the south with a new high pressure ridge developing in its wake on Monday.
