- A high pressure system moving into the Tasman Sea directs a northeasterly flow over Victorian waters. A weak cold front is expected to cross Bass Strait from later tonight into Tuesday, ahead of the next high pressure system in the eastern Bight. This weak high pressure system crosses Victoria on Wednesday. North to northwesterly winds strengthen again Thursday ahead of a stronger cold front approaching from the Bight.
