A high pressure system in Bass Strait will maintain a ridge across Victoria as it drifts into the Tasman Sea today. The high will continue to extend a ridge over Victoria until a broad area of low pressure develops to the south west on Friday. This area of low pressure will develop into a trough, crossing the state on Saturday.
