A high pressure system deepens over the Bight tonight following a cold front that crossed Bass Strait today. The high moves southeastward, drifting over the southern Tasman Sea by Thursday where it will continue to extend a weak ridge over Victoria. A cold front moving through the Bight will reach western Victoria later Friday, crossing the State on the Saturday.
