- Weather Situation
- A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is directing a northeasterly airstream across Victorian coastal waters as a low pressure trough crosses the Bight. The trough is forecast to enter western Bass Strait on Wednesday morning, reaching central waters during the afternoon before crossing eastern Bass Strait by the evening. A ridge of high pressure will extend over southern Victoria late on Wednesday and persist throughout Thursday and Friday as a large high pressure system crosses waters south of the Bight.
