- A high pressure system in the south of the Tasman Sea is directing a northerly airstream, ahead of a trough of low pressure which is expected to move over the west late Saturday, then across remaining parts overnight and during Sunday. A new high pressure centre is expected to lie to the southwest of the state on Sunday and then expected to move eastwards to be over the Tasman Sea on Monday. A northerly airstream is expected again on Tuesday ahead of another trough moving in from the west.
