- A high pressure system in the Tasman Sea will continue to extend a ridge over Victoria until a weak trough crosses the state today. A new weak ridge of high pressure will begin to develop from the west on Thursday before a weak cold front skims the south late Thursday evening, into early Friday morning. A following high pressure system will then drift southwards over Tasmania on the weekend, extending a ridge over Victoria.
