Weather Situation

A high pressure system well to the west directs a southwesterly flow over Victoria, before a ridge moves in from the west by the late evening. The ridge is expected to persist over the state as the high pressure centre moves through Bass Strait on Tuesday, and out to the Tasman Sea by Wednesday. A trough is then forecast to move over Victoria late Thursday.
