North to northwesterly 10 to 15 knots shifting south to southwesterly early in the morning then tending west to southwesterly 15 to 20 knots in the middle of the day.

Southwesterly around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres during the morning, then increasing to 1 to 2 metres during the afternoon.

Weather Situation

A high pressure system lies over the Tasman Sea and extends a broad ridge over eastern Bass Strait. A low pressure trough extends across the SA border into western Victoria and Bass Strait. The trough is expected to slowly move east over Victoria and Bass Strait during Saturday, entering from the west in the early morning and moving into eastern Coastal waters by the evening. The next cold front will cross Bass Strait during Sunday with a new high pressure ridge developing in its wake on Monday.
