A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is extending a ridge over Victoria. A trough will slowly cross from the west during Tuesday, and linger about the northeast on Wednesday as a high pressure system south of the Bight extends a ridge over Tasmania. On Thursday, Victoria will lie between a ridge over Tasmania and a trough in central NSW.
