A high pressure system currently over the southeast will drift eastwards into the Tasman on Monday, continuing to extend a weak ridge over northeastern Victoria. A low pressure system will begin to develop in the Bight, extending a trough into Bass Strait on Tuesday which will weaken and drift southwards on Wednesday. The low pressure system will continue to develop, drawing a cold front across the State on Thursday.
