A large high pressure system over South Australia will begin to extend a ridge over western Victoria from today. The high pressure centre will slowly move over the north on Thursday, remaining relatively stationary on Friday with a weak trough skimming the south in the afternoon. A new high pressure ridge will begin to develop from the west on Saturday.
