- A large high pressure system centred near the SA border extends a ridge over Victoria. The high will slowly cross the north today before moving into the Tasman Sea on the weekend, continuing to extend a ridge over the state. This ridge will begin to weaken as a cold front approaches the western border late on Sunday, crossing Bass Strait on Monday.
