A cold front passing over Tasmania is expected to clear to the east of the state by Thursday morning. A trough is expected to linger about the northeast on Thursday as a high pressure system centred well to the west extends a ridge over the state. The high pressure centre is expected to move over Tasmania during Friday before moving to the south of the state by the weekend, shifting the flow easterly.
