The ridge is expected to move over the Tasman Sea later Sunday, directing a warmer northeasterly airstream over the state. A weak trough is expected to approach Tasmania from the west on Monday and cross Tuesday morning, bringing a north to northwesterly airstream to the state. The airstream will then tend more northerly on Wednesday as a trough approaches from the west, reaching the northwest of Tasmania later Wednesday.
