A high pressure system over South Australia extends ridge over Tasmania. As the high pressure system moves east to be in the Tasman Sea, a northwesterly flow will strengthen over the state on Wednesday. A cold front will cross Tasmania on Thursday, with a westerly flow developing in its wake and persist initially on Friday. Flow tends northwesterly later Friday ahead of an approaching cold front expected to move over the state on Saturday.
