Weather Situation

A high pressure system to the east, extends a ridge over the state. The high pressure system is expected to move to the south on Sunday, shifting the flow easterly. A trough over Victoria during the weekend is forecast to extend south into Bass Strait on Sunday before the high centre is expected to move away to the southeast, shifting the flow northeasterly ahead of an approaching trough to the northwest of the state on Monday.
