A ridge of high pressure will slowly approach Tasmania from the west today, with a southwesterly stream over the state to ease during the day. The high pressure centre will move over Victoria on Friday, with high centre expected to lie over the northern Tasman Sea by early Saturday and then remain near stationary during Sunday.
