Weather Situation

A high pressure system over the Bight is forecast to move slowly east, building a ridge over the state today. This ridge is expected to persist today over northern Tasmania and Victoria. The high centre is expected to move into the Tasman Sea on Tuesday, directing a northwesterly flow over Tasmania, ahead of an approaching weak trough to the west. The trough is forecast to move over the state on Wednesday.
