A high pressure centre just east of Tasmania is to remain stationary just off the east coast on Saturday and Sunday, bringing warmer and more humid north to northeasterly winds over the state. A trough is expected to approach and cross Tasmania from the west on Monday. A ridge is forecast to develop just to the south of the state on Tuesday.
