Weather Situation

A ridge of high pressure to the northeast of Tasmania is producing a northwesterly air stream over the state, with this pattern expected to continue during Sunday. The northwesterly flow is expected to strengthen on Monday as a low approaches from the west. An associated cold front will then cross early Tuesday morning, with a deep low expected to move to the south of the state later Tuesday. The area of low pressure will then move away to the east on Wednesday as a much colder southwesterly airstream moves over Tasmania.
